Bankroll Fresh's Family Home Targeted in Drive-By Shooting – XXL

A gunman opened fire late Monday night (July 2) on an Atlanta home belonging to Bankroll Fresh‘s mother, according to Atlanta police.

WXIA-TV reports that the shooter fired 17 rounds from a semi-automatic rifle into the house’s front bedroom while Bankroll’s mother Terisa Price and 24-year-old cousin Amanda Weaver were inside. Bullets grazed the cousin’s shoulder and thigh, but she was treated on the scene and not seriously injured.

“It’s a really senseless act, a complete disregard for human life,” Atlanta police Capt. Andrew Senzer told WSB-TV. “Very fortunate that she was not injured more severely or killed.”

Police have opened an investigation but not said whether they suspect a connection to Bankroll’s fatal shooting outside Atlanta’s Street Execs Studios in 2016. The “Hot Boy” rapper’s alleged killer previously claimed he acted in self-defense after Fresh fired a first shot at his car.

Price spoke to XXL last year in an extended interview about her son’s life and death. “People loved him, loved being around him. And the people that he did come into contact with, they just took to him because he was that kind of person. He had the kind of personality where he’s silly and gonna make you laugh. He was a very giving person,” she said.

Bankroll’s mother was uninjured in the shooting.
