Multiple Fatalities After Shooting at Maryland Newspaper Office

A suspect is in custody after shots were fired outside an Annapolis, Maryland newsroom. Fox News reports there are multiple fatalities on Thursday (June 28) afternoon at the Capital Gazette.

Anne Arundel County Police have confirmed an “active shooter” at 888 Bestgate Road and the Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosive responded to the office location
The shooting started at 2:30 p.m. local time and there is a warning of possible additional shooters, however, there is no confirmation. Reports from the area state the suspect used a shotgun in the incident.

Gazette reporter Phil Davis confirmed multiple have been injured. The report includes local authorities being sent to The Baltimore Sun as a preventive measure.
