Quentin Miller, who will seemingly forever be linked to the 6 God over ghostwriting implications a few years ago, was named-dropped on the song. Drake addressed the issue head-on rapping, “And as for Q, man, I changed his life a couple times/Nigga was at Kroger working double time/Ya’ll acting like he made the boy when I was trying to help the guy.”
Friday night (May 25), Miller offered a correction on Twitter. “It was a publix actually…,” he wrote, referring to the competing grocery store chain he actually had a 9-5 at. He even added a screenshot from Google for further proof.
Q has been trying to do him, following his affiliation with being Drizzy’s behind-the-scenes penman. He recently put out the Crshd Files Vol 2. EP with TheCoolIsMac as Wdng Crshrs.
On Friday, he put out the new track, “Long Time,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The smooth slapper is produced by Ty as well. “While y’all on that we on this,” QM captioned the cover art on Twitter. “Niggas been puttin that 1317 in the wrong conversation. So now we gotta be rude. Interrupt you by creating a new subject. Peep da Segway lame ass Nigga.”
