BlocBoy’s “No Chorus” song series has been integral to his career. His debut mixtape Who Am I featured “Pt. 6” which garnered millions of views and helped raise the volume on his buzz. Closing in on an even dozen, the Memphis rapper rolls out a lit video for the latest edition.
The “Look Alive” rapper’s grassroots grind again finds him in his hood for the new visual which is again shot by Ali Productions. JB brings out the whole block, with a number of them getting their time to shine on camera in a quasi-Soul Train line. Despite the jovial atmosphere, the Bloc Nation artist keeps it gutter on the chorus-less track.
“Yeah bitch, this No Chorus, Pt. 11 (Part 11)/Draw down with the gun like it’s double-oh-seven (rrah, baow),” he raps. T”wirl a nigga, no baton, but I’ll use it as a weapon (get back)/Worrisome bitch up on my line, don’t stomp the yard, bitch get to steppin’ (to steppin’)/Nigga playin’, get jumped (get jumped)/Crank a nigga like the lumps (lumps)/Headshot him with the pump (rrah)/Now his brains gone (boom boom boom)/Ayy I’ll smack a nigga if he say my name wrong (say my name wrong).”
The rapper’s new tape features guest appearances from Drake, Lil Pump, YG, Moneybagg Yo and 21 Savage. In March, he put out the video for the Simi single “Rover 2.0” featuring 21 Savage.
