Kodak Black Is Writing a Book in Jail – XXL

We’re not sure if Kodak Black is turning over a new leaf but he is definitely trying some new things. On Thursday (May 3), the incarcerated rapper revealed he is working on becoming an author and penning a book.

The South Florida rapper made the revelation on Twitter. “I’m excited about this book I’m writing,” the tweet reads. “I’m ready for the world to read it.” The “Tunnel Vision” rapper didn’t give any more details on the publication, but it is presumably autobiographical.

The Project Baby has roughly the rest of 2018 with nothing but time to put the book together. In April, he was sentenced to one year in jail after being convicted of marijuana and gun charges. The charges stem from a January arrest where he was initially booked for grand theft of a firearm, two charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a Florida delinquent adult felon, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of parole violation. The rest of the charges didn’t stick and he pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of marijuana.

In related news, it was recently revealed Kodak has legally changed his government name from Dieuson Octave to Bill K. Kapri. According to the rapper’s lawyer, the name change is all about Kodak looking for a fresh start.
