Logic's Debut Novel Becomes a No. 1 New York Times Bestseller – XXL

Logic can add another big achievement under his belt – he’s now a best-selling author. The Maryland rhymer’s debut novel, Supermarket, premiered at No. 1 on the New York TimesPaperback Fiction Best-Seller list, making him the first-ever rapper to author a fiction best seller.

On Wednesday (April 3), Logic jumped on his Instagram page to thank his fans for making his book a New York Times best-seller. “Humbled. Thank YOU all,” he wrote.

According to a press release, the book has been No. 1 at Amazon and Barnes & Noble since its release on March 26. In addition, the novel’s accompanying soundtrack of the same name debuted at No. 6 this week on the Billboard Alternative Album chart, another first for Logic.

The book has been described as a fresh, funny, and deliciously dark thriller that features Logic’s flair for cinematic storytelling. According to the creative wordsmith, the first half of the novel was written during his “lowest most depressed, anxiety filled part of my life” and the second half was “written as I overcame it.”

Logic is not done yet. Back in March, the 29-year-old rhymer revealed that he’s planning to drop a new album this year called Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. It will be Logic’s first project since his September 2018 release YSIV, which was the fourth installment of the rapper’s popular Young Sinatra mixtape series. The single, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” has also garnered nearly 20 million streams and 10 million accumulative views of the video.

Congratulations to Logic on his Supermarket book being a New York Times best-seller.
