Charges Dropped Against DaBaby for Deadly Walmart Shooting – XXL

DaBaby has been cleared of charges in connection to a deadly shooting in Huntersville, N.C. that took the life of a man last November.

On Friday (March 29), local news outlet WSOCTV revealed DaBaby, born Jonathan Kirk, who was facing charges of carrying a concealed gun, had the charges dropped in court on Thursday (March 28). The Interscope rapper was the only person who had been charged in the killing, which took the life of 19-year-old Jalyn Craig.

The incident happened at the Walmart on Bryton Town Center Drive on Nov. 5, 2018. Police arrived on the scene immediately after shots were fired in the store and saw several people involved in an altercation. Craig was shot in the abdomen and died on the scene. Four individuals were taken into custody by the Huntersville Police Department for questioning.

Shortly after the incident, DaBaby confirmed his involvement in the matter and said he acted in self defense and security camera footage would back up his story. He claimed he was confronted by two men who were wielding weapons while he was shopping with his family.

“If them gunshots ain’t go off, nigga, my fuckin’ daughter could’ve got hit, son could’ve got hit, me,” he said in a social media video. “Fuckin’ lawyers telling me not to say something and shit, fuck all that. Two niggas walk down on you and your whole muthafuckin’ family, threaten y’all, whip out on y’all, nigga, let me see what y’all gon’ too. You feel me?”

The prospective 2019 XXL Freshman put out his project latest Baby on Baby in March.
