Juice Wrld, YK Osiris, TJ Porter and More: New Projects This Week – XXL

There’s a lot of fresh energy in this week’s group of new releases as some of the younger generation of rap artists have used the past few days as their time to shine.

Juice Wrld took the hip-hop community by storm in 2018. His single hit “Lucid Dreams,” which peaked in the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as projects such as his debut offering Goodbye & Good Riddance and the Future-collaboration Wrld on Drugs, established him as a leader of the new school during his breakout year. He’s now prepared to take things to another level with his highly-anticipated sophomore set, Death Race for Love, which features Young thug and production from the likes of Boi-1da, Hit-Boy, No I.D., Cardo and frequent collaborator Nick Mira, who produced the lead single “Robbery.”

Def Jam Recordings, the storied label that brought us dozens of popular acts and many other legendary artists is ready to usher in its next generation with the new offering Undisputed. Starring newcomers such as YK Osiris, TJ Porter, Fetty Luciano, PVRX, Ashton Travis and several others, the compilation album puts the iconic record label’s roster of new talent on full display. To coincide with the album’s release, Def Jam will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how Undisputed came together with a docu-series that is slated to be released in eight parts.
